On April 27, Mr. Gao Xiang, President of China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. ("CIMC Group"), visited Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. ("CIMC SOE") for an inspection and guidance session. He was warmly received by Mr. Gao Wenbao, Vice President of CIMC Enric and General Manager of CIMC SOE, and Mr. Wang Jianding, Executive Deputy General Manager of CIMC SOE.
President Gao Xiang first toured the West Plant, where Mr. Gao Wenbao and Mr. Wang Jianding provided a detailed overview of the company’s production operations, technical processes, and resource allocation. They highlighted the construction progress of CIMC SOE’s first 40,000m³ MGC carrier, which is nearing its launching phase. Additionally, they emphasized how the efficient reuse of dock resources has enabled the company to secure orders for vessels such as the AHTS80 offshore vessel, optimizing both capacity utilization and project scheduling.
At the East Plant, the leadership team showcased ongoing projects, including Type A cargo tanks and bi-lobe tanks for the 40,000m³ vessel. CIMC SOE has now achieved full coverage of Type A, B, and C cargo tank solutions in the cryogenic liquid transport market. During the workshop visit, President Gao Xiang observed the industry-first crawling robotic welding system for tank fabrication — a breakthrough technology featuring trackless operation, auto-stabilization, and single-side welding with dual-side forming. This innovation significantly streamlines manufacturing processes, shortens production cycles, and exemplifies the company’s advancements in smart manufacturing.
President Gao Xiang commended CIMC SOE’s standardized production organization and operational efficiency. He acknowledged the company’s tangible progress in clean energy equipment through technological innovation and emphasized the need to further deepen the lean management system.
Moving forward, CIMC SOE will align with the strategic goals of CIMC Group and CIMC Enric, focusing on resource optimization, technological innovation, and product portfolio expansion to enhance operational excellence and achieve high-quality, sustainable growth.
