On December 21st, coinciding with the Winter Solstice, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CIMC SOE") welcomed its second “Employee Family Day”. On this day, 15 families from various departments gathered, with over 40 employees and their loved ones coming together to embark on a heartwarming journey, sharing moments of happiness.
The event comprised several segments, including a reception in the conference room, safety briefings, tours of the East and West plant areas, and a dumpling-making activity. To provide a comprehensive understanding of the company, the event began with employees and their families watching a company promotional video and an HSE training film. Through these engaging visuals, family members gained deeper insights into the company’s history, achievements, and its strong emphasis on safety and environmental protection. During this time, Mr. Chai Guoping, the Head of the Marine Equipment Department at CIMC SOE, expressed that this event offered a valuable opportunity for communication among families and colleagues, hoping each family member would feel the warmth and culture of the company, enjoying a pleasant and memorable day.
Following the screenings, participants embarked on a tour of the East and West areas. At each stop, employees introduced their work environments and daily responsibilities to their families. This was not just a simple tour but a discovery journey where family members could see firsthand and experience the places where their loved ones dedicate their efforts daily, fostering greater understanding and support for their work.
As the saying goes, “When Winter Solstice comes, eat dumplings!” At the noon, the fourth floor of the West Area canteen buzzed with lively chatter and the enticing aroma of freshly made dumplings. Fifteen families engaged in the traditional custom of making dumplings together, celebrating unity and extolling familial harmony. Adults skillfully handled the dough and fillings, folding the dumplings neatly, while children mimicked their elders' actions, albeit with less dexterity but no less enthusiasm. Laughter and joy filled the air as everyone immersed themselves in the warmth of family bonds.
The success of this Family Day is attributed to the support and cooperation of every family member. Through this event, CIMC SOE strengthened trust and connections with employees and their families, weaving a heartwarming story. The sunlight of the Winter Solstice bathed the earth, symbolizing how the company, through its actions, embodies the meaning of "home".
