On December 12th, Mr. Xia Daohu, Party Secretary and President of the Jiangsu Provincial Higher People's Court, led a delegation to Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CIMC SOE") for an inspection visit aimed at gaining a deep understanding of the company’s operational status. They were warmly received by Mr. Gao Wenbao, Vice General Manager of CIMC Enric and General Manager of SOE, and Mr. Su Fei, Deputy General Manager of CIMC SOE.
Upon arriving at the West Plant Area of CIMC SOE, President Xia and his team proceeded to the shipyard and docksite for an on-site inspection of the company's production activities. During the briefing session, Mr. Gao reviewed the company’s significant development milestones since its establishment, particularly highlighting the substantial attention and full support provided by the Qidong government and court during critical challenges. In August 2016, the original Nantong Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering entered bankruptcy proceedings. With the support of the Nantong and Qidong municipal governments and courts, the restructuring process went smoothly, achieving the nation's first case of "bankruptcy without halting production." The company officially joined CIMC in August 2017. In June 2021, with their continued support, CIMC Group successfully acquired the assets of Qidong Fengshun Heavy Industry through auction. All these accomplishments were made possible thanks to the assistance and support from various levels of government and the judiciary, expressing gratitude for the policy guidance and legal protection that have enabled CIMC SOE to steadily advance in a complex and volatile market environment.
Mr. Gao emphasized that due to the relentless efforts and support from all parties, CIMC SOE is projected to achieve sales revenue of RMB 4 billion in 2024, with order volumes exceeding RMB 15 billion. Looking ahead, to maintain and enhance market competitiveness, the company plans to optimize business strategies, strictly control order quality, strengthen internal management, and improve production efficiency. President Xia praised CIMC SOE’s achievements and reaffirmed the government and court system's commitment to promoting healthy enterprise development. He expressed confidence that the company would continue to maintain a positive growth trend in the future.
This research visit enhanced communication and exchange between the court and the enterprise, further strengthening mutual understanding and trust. Moving forward, CIMC SOE is confident that with the support of the Qidong government and courts, along with collaboration from partners across sectors, they can jointly promote the continuous and healthy development of the marine engineering equipment industry.
Accompanying President Xia on this visit were Director Gu Tao and Director Zhang Zhicheng from the Office and Research Division of the Jiangsu Higher People's Court, along with officials Zhan Shuxin and Gu Honghao. Also present were Liu Kun, Party Secretary and President of Nantong Intermediate People's Court, Party Committee member and Special Committee member Zhang Zhimin, Director Gu Jianbing of the Propaganda and Education Department, Director Bao Rui of the Office, Deputy Director Xie Zhou of the Propaganda and Education Department, Yang Zhongjian, Secretary of the Qidong Municipal Committee, and Ren Kaisheng, Party Secretary of the Qidong Marine Engineering Shipbuilding Industrial Park.
