At 8:22 AM, the flag-raising ceremony began on time in the square in front of the company office building. The majestic "March of the Volunteers" played, and the Five-Starred Red Flag rose slowly; then the CIMC flag and the company flag unfurled in the wind one after another. All personnel stood in solemn respect and sang "The Song of CIMC" in unison. The resounding singing echoed over the square, filled with deep respect for the Group's 44 years of dedication to industry and persistent progress. Employees at bases in Zhoushan, Shanghai, and other locations simultaneously witnessed the solemn moment via online live broadcast.
After the flag-raising ceremony, Gao Wenbao, Vice President of CIMC ENRIC and General Manager of SOE, delivered a speech. He reviewed CIMC's legendary 44-year journey and affirmed SOE's achievements over the past year in the shipbuilding, offshore engineering, and wind power sectors, including the delivery of various vessels and offshore products and a breakthrough in the wind power barge project. He called on all employees to carry forward CIMC's spirit of "self-improvement and pursuit of excellence," focus on the Group's theme of "pooling strength for high-quality development and building new growth drivers," and strive toward the ten-billion-yuan goal.
After the ceremony, the fun competition segment officially began. Four teams representing labor union groups first competed in the "multi-person multi-leg" race. With legs tied together and shoulder to shoulder, team members charged toward the finish line in unison, their seamless coordination winning rounds of applause. Next came the newly added "Cultural Building Block Stacking Competition," where team members divided tasks and worked in seamless coordination. Cheers and laughter rose and fell from the sidelines as everyone experienced the power of collaboration and deepened their mutual rapport through friendly competition.
The combined times from the two competitions determined the first, second, and third prizes as well as the competition award. Company leaders presented awards to the winning labor union groups. At noon, the company prepared a festive meal for all employees, shipowners, and surveyors. At 5:00 PM, the "SOE Voice" singing competition finals kicked off. The top eight contestants opened with a chorus of "The Song of CIMC," then took the stage one by one. They were scored by professional judges, company leaders, and an employee audience panel, with an AI real-time scoring system and an online popularity award also introduced. Their singing, sometimes stirring and sometimes heartfelt, expressed the positive and uplifting spirit of CIMC people and offered a special musical gift for CIMC Day.
In the evening, the "CIMC Good Story" — CIMC Cultural Values Speech Contest finals were held in an online-offline format. Contestants from various CIMC Group business segments told stories of struggle around them with sincere emotion.
