Recently, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "CIMC SOE") officially signed a construction contract with Sinopec (Beijing) Clean Energy Co., Ltd. for a 12,000-cubic-meter LNG bunkering vessel. The vessel will be independently built by CIMC SOE, marking another benchmark order from a central state-owned enterprise in the LNG clean energy vessel sector, further consolidating the company's global leadership in the small-to-medium LNG bunkering vessel niche market.
Sinopec's decision to build this LNG bunkering vessel is aimed at advancing its green shipping business layout and strengthening its clean energy shipping support system. This collaboration not only reflects Sinopec's full recognition of CIMC SOE's construction capabilities, quality control, and delivery performance, but also represents a key strategic move by Sinopec to deepen its presence in the shipping clean energy track, expand its end-market footprint, and promote the comprehensive development of green shipping.

In this project, both parties will fully leverage their respective industrial advantages and core technical resources to jointly advance vessel R&D and construction. CIMC SOE will strictly adhere to construction standards throughout the process, exercising meticulous control over project schedules, product quality, and overall vessel performance. The vessel will be delivered and put into service in 2028, in full alignment with Sinopec's green shipping development roadmap.
Upon commercial operation, this LNG bunkering vessel will effectively fill gaps in China's coastal LNG bunkering infrastructure, further improving the coastal LNG bunkering service network. As a key project in Sinopec's clean energy shipping portfolio, its deployment will strongly support the green and low-carbon upgrade of the domestic shipping industry, helping to precisely implement the national "dual carbon" goals.
With this newly signed contract, CIMC SOE's order book for LNG bunkering vessels continues to expand, reinforcing its leading position in the global small-to-medium LNG bunker vessel market. Since the start of this year, LNG vessel orders have been released intensively across the industry, and CIMC SOE, with its comprehensive strengths in technology, quality, and delivery, has rapidly secured new projects. Both order volume and performance growth have seen significant increases, consistently empowering the green transformation of China's shipbuilding industry and the low-carbon, high-quality development of the shipping sector.
