Deepening Knowledge, Building Foundations

From July 1 to 8, intensive training sessions were conducted, covering CIMC history, lean culture, safety awareness, industry outlook, and departmental introductions. Department heads enthusiastically took on teaching roles, sharing their expertise. Through case studies and interactive discussions, they helped the graduates build a macro-level understanding of the company's business and acquire practical job skills and professional competencies, laying a solid foundation for their upcoming work challenges.

United in Purpose, Sailing Forward

On July 9, the training took an engaging turn with an outdoor team-building activity at the scenic Qitangcheng. A fun "boat-building" challenge was held, where teams collaborated to construct boat frames using simple materials and painted colorful hulls. Despite the summer heat, sweat and laughter forged team spirit. Eventually, a unique "Dream Boat" stood tall on the field, vividly embodying the "all in the same boat" teamwork ethos and bringing the "thousand sails" theme to life.

Mr. Gao first praised the new employees' energy and thorough preparation, then delved into industry trends and the company's strategic blueprint. He reiterated CIMC SOE's three core competitive advantages: a global-leading business presence with over 50% market share in small-to-medium liquefied gas carriers and a strong order backlog; an advantageous location in Qidong near Shanghai, offering both economic vitality and quality of life; and robust internal growth momentum with continuous expansion and innovation.

He emphasized that managers must adopt a strategic perspective, ensuring every employee is treated with dignity and respect. He offered four key expectations for the new graduates: 1) Accelerate the transition from campus to workplace, both mentally and behaviorally; 2) Seize opportunities and make the most of available resources; 3) Set clear goals to grow and contribute to self, family, and society; 4) Always prioritize safety as the bottom line.

Looking ahead, the Company will uphold its people-oriented philosophy, investing in talent development and care. Subsequent specialized training in shipbuilding knowledge, marine business English, lean production, and more will be rolled out, with online resources made available. Opportunities for benchmarking visits to other CIMC plants are also being considered. The Company also encourages embracing digitalization and AI to enhance work efficiency.

We are confident they will ride the waves, strive for excellence, and inject fresh momentum into CIMC SOE's high-quality development, writing their own brilliant chapters on this broad stage.
