Recently, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "CIMC SOE") achieved a major project milestone—the first 350m³ liquid ammonia fuel tank (Project No. T259) built for Weihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for its ammonia-fueled container vessel was successfully loaded and shipped, officially embarking on its journey to the shipyard.

The liquid ammonia fuel tank delivered this time was independently designed and constructed by CIMC SOE. This project features a configuration of two independent Type C tanks per vessel set, serving as the core equipment for the vessel's green ammonia fuel power system.
Notably, this liquid ammonia fuel tank is equipped with a side-mounted TCS room, a first for the company. The confined internal space and the dense installation of mechanical and electrical equipment posed significant construction challenges. Through multiple rounds of specialized discussions, pooling ideas from various disciplines, optimizing construction plans, and leveraging mature technical expertise and strict quality control, the project team successfully overcame these challenges, ensuring continuous production progress.

Additionally, due to delays caused by customer-supplied drawings and the client's request to expedite delivery, the overall project schedule was extremely tight. To meet the vessel's overall erection schedule, multiple departments at CIMC SOE worked in close coordination, adopting measures such as working through the Spring Festival holiday, implementing double shifts for daily production, and carrying out meticulous planning and coordination to recover lost time. Ultimately, the first tank was completed, safely delivered, and shipped on schedule.
The successful delivery of this 350m³ liquid ammonia fuel tank fully demonstrates CIMC SOE's engineering design, precision manufacturing, and project management capabilities in the clean energy marine equipment sector.
