From September 12th to 14th, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as "CIMC SOE") and CIMC Raffles Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CIMC Raffles"). participated, on behalf of the CIMC Group, in the 2024 National Advanced Manufacturing Cluster Development Conference and Shipbuilding & Offshore Industry Exhibition for High-Tech Vessels and Offshore Equipment (Nantong) hosted by the Nantong Municipal Government. Attending the event were Mr. Li Yi, Deputy Director of the Second Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Ms. Zhang Tong, Deputy Secretary of the Nantong Municipal Committee of the CPC and Mayor of Nantong, Ms. Jia Anuo, Consul General of the Consulate General of Finland in Shanghai, Mr. Song Yinding, President of Harbin Engineering University, and Mr. Guo Dacheng, President of China Shipbuilding Industry Association. Representing CIMC Group were Mr. Yu Yuqun, Vice President of CIMC Group, and Mr. Su Fei, Deputy General Manager of CIMC Pacific Marine Engineering, who attended the opening ceremony and exhibition.

During the opening ceremony, the organizers announced the strong chain brands of China's shipbuilding industry for the year 2024 and held concentrated signing ceremonies for key projects in multiple batches. During the event, CIMC SOE signed an agreement with Industrial Bank for industrial and financial cooperation, marking a deep collaboration between the two parties in financial support and industrial development; during the supply chain procurement signing session, CIMC SOE also signed two cooperation agreements with Wärtsilä and TGE, further enhancing the international cooperation level of the supply chain. Finally, Mr. Yu Yuqun, Vice President of CIMC Group, along with other guests, officially announced the opening of the exhibition by lighting the start-up beacon together.

After the opening ceremony, Ms. Zhang Tong, Deputy Secretary of the Nantong Municipal Committee of the CPC and Mayor of Nantong, toured the exhibition venue accompanied by Mr. Su Fei, the person-in-charge of the CIMC booth. Mr. Su mainly reported on CIMC's offshore engineering business, focusing on the model of the 20,000-cubic-meter LNG bunkering vessel delivered by CIMC SOE and the model of "Blue Whale No.1" from CIMC Offshore. Mr. Su pointed out that the delivery of the 20,000-cubic-meter LNG bunkering vessel by CIMC SOE helped make Shanghai Port the world's third port capable of LNG bunkering, indicating that Nantong and Shanghai complement each other, with Nantong striving towards maritime strength. Mayor Zhang expressed high praise for the technological innovation and product quality displayed by CIMC and encouraged CIMC to continue playing a leading role as a leading enterprise in the industry, promoting the high-quality development of the city's offshore equipment and high-tech vessel industries.


It is understood that this exhibition, themed around "Developing New Quality Productive Forces, Promoting New Industrialization, Building a World-Class Shipbuilding and Offshore Industry Cluster," aims to capture development opportunities, deepen the strengthening and extension of the industrial chain, and jointly promote the leap of the national advanced manufacturing cluster of the shipbuilding and offshore industries to world-class levels. The exhibition attracted unprecedented attention, gathering elites from around the globe, including top domestic and international shipbuilding and offshore assembly enterprises, supporting equipment and service suppliers, and prestigious institutions of higher learning, totaling 411 exhibitors, building a platform for international, high-level exchanges.
