As temperatures continue to soar across the country, bringing relentless waves of heat, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore&Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CIMC SOE") has launched its annual "Summer Heat Relief" campaign. This initiative is aimed at ensuring the safety and health of employees working in high-temperature environments, preventing heatstroke incidents and accidents, and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.
On August 9th, Wenbao Gao, Vice President of CIMC Enric and General Manager of CIMC SOE, along with Jian Ding Wang, Executive Deputy General Manager, Fei Su, Deputy General Manager, and Weifeng Jiang, Assistant to the General Manager, visited production sites at the East and West facilities to express their appreciation and deliver relief supplies to frontline staff.
At the West Wharf, Mr. Gao and Mr. Wang boarded the S1062 vessel to distribute ice tea, green tea, salt soda, and cooling packages to the crew. They engaged in friendly conversations with the employees, inquiring about their work and living conditions, expressing gratitude for their hard work during the heatwave, and reminding them to take precautions against heat exhaustion while maintaining a good work attitude and ensuring safety.
Meanwhile, Mr. Su and Mr. Jiang visited the East Area pipe rack platform to provide refreshments to the frontline workers. The leaders personally handed out the supplies, thanking the employees for their dedication and reminding them to stay cool and hydrated, prioritizing their own safety and health.
The workers were delighted to receive the thoughtfully prepared items. Cai Lun, a team leader in the assembly department, expressed his gratitude: "We truly appreciate the company's concern for our health and well-being. It warms our hearts to know that the company cares about us. We will channel this care into motivation and continue to work with passion and dedication to ensure safety and productivity."
Other employees also pledged their commitment to remaining steadfast in their roles, putting their utmost effort into completing projects on time and to a high standard.
According to the 2024 Heat Relief Program, the company distributed heat relief supplies, including mosquito repellent, towels, soap, and cooling medications, to all departments before the onset of high temperatures. When daily maximum temperatures exceed 35°C, the company's union and environmental protection and safety department organize the delivery of chilled beverages like mung bean soup, plum juice, and salt soda to workshops and outdoor work areas. Additionally, temporary rest areas equipped with air conditioning, chairs, cooling medications, drinking water, and ice blocks are established in offices and containers to provide comprehensive heat relief support.
The "Summer Heat Relief" campaign, a tradition at CIMC SOE, will continue annually. This initiative not only demonstrates the company's commitment to the well-being of its employees but also strengthens team cohesion and sense of belonging. Moving forward, CIMC SOE will uphold its philosophy of "People-Oriented, Shared Endeavor," taking concrete actions to implement safety measures during the hot season and ensuring that the care for frontline employees is tangible and heartfelt, safeguarding their rights to a safe and healthy work environment.
