CIMC SOE successfully launched the third 7,600 cubic meter LNG bunkering vessel

At 7:08 am on July 1st,Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as "CIMC SOE"), successfully launched the third of three 7,600 cubic meter LNG bunkering vessels (S1067) it is building for Seaspan ULC of Canada (hereafter referred to as "Seaspan") at its West Area Slipway No.2. The launching ceremony was witnessed by Harly Penner, Vice President of Seaspan Energy Group, Moka Adinarayana, Technical Director of SMC, and members of the supervision team, Chen Xujian from Bureau Veritas, Chen Bin, Deputy General Manager of CIMC SOE's Shipbuilding Division, and members of the company's project team.

 

The series consists of three 7,600 cubic meter LNG bunkering vessels, each measuring 112.8 meters in length, 18.6 meters in breadth, with a design draft of 5 meters and a design speed of 13 knots. The classification society for these vessels is Bureau Veritas.

It is understood that all three LNG bunkering vessels in this series are expected to be delivered into service this year. As these vessels enter operation one after another, CIMC SOE will continue to provide efficient and environmentally friendly LNG bunkering services to the global shipping industry, assisting in the sector's green transformation and sustainable development.
