On December 27, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co.,LTD.(hereinafter referred to as “CIMC SOE”) built for Canada Seaspan ULC Company(hereinafter referred to as “Seaspan”) 7600 cubic meters LNG bunkering head vessel(S1061) was successfully launched on the western slipway. Grzegorz Marzec, project manager of the shipowner side, Wang Renwu, project manager of BV Classification Society and other resident shipowners and ship surveyors, Wang Jianding, deputy general manager of CIMC SOE and representatives of the project team witnessed the scene.

It is reported that the project has a total of three 7600 cubic meters LNG bunkering vessel series, this is the first vessel launched, the first two vessels is expected to be delivered in 2024 and delivery of the third vessel in 2025.

This series of ships has a total length of 112.8 meters, a width of 18.6 meters, a deadweight of about 4500 tons, a design speed of 13 knots, a Canadian flag, and a classification society of BV. The design integrates the latest ship technology to further reduce operational pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, the ship is equipped with relevant thrusters which has excellent maneuverability and can be applied to LNG loading, unloading and bunkering services in different situations, and will be the first LNG bunkering vessel for Seaspan, the world’s largest independent container owner on the west coast of North America.

Since the beginning of this year, the international shipbuilding market has shown a strong trend, and the recovery trend of the ship market has accelerated significantly, CIMC SOE, as an international engineering company focusing on high-end equipment such as liquefied gas vessels and liquid cargo systems, LNG fuel tanks, offshore wind power equipment, offshore engineering modules and hydrogen production devices, currently has more than 10 billion yuan of orders in hand.
