CIMC SOE Wind Power Zhoushan Base Dalian Zhuanghe V project was successfully delivered

On December 7, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co.,LTD.(hereinafter referred to as “CIMC SOE”) completed the joint acceptance of the first set of jacket foundation of Dalian Zhuanghe Booster Station V project of Hydropower Bureau 4 days in advance at Zhoushan Ouhua Base, marking another breakthrough in the company’s jacket products for the booster station.


The Dalian Offshore booster station project consists of two parts: the upper booster station platform structure and the lower booster station jacket foundation. The lower jacket foundation includes jacket structure and foundation pile, and is undertaken by CIMC SOE. The jacket mainly adopts pile boot type jacket design, which is assembled and welded by space bracket structure, four pile boots and four anti-settling plates. The jacket foundation has a length of 30.66 meters, a width of 24.66 meters, a height of 40.30 meters and a total weight of 1290 tons. The foundation pile consists of four steel pipe piles with a diameter of 2.4 to 2.8 meters and has a weight of 700 tons.  

The successful completion of the project was facilitated by the close collaboration of the project management team of the company’s Wind &  Hydrogen Division. The jacket structure of the booster station is different from previous offshore wind power jacket structure, the original structure of the grouting section is replaced by the pile shoe and anti-settling plate structure, the pile shoe structure is complicated, the prefabrication is complicated, and the welding workload is large and the requirement is high. In response to this situation, the project, design, procurement and production departments carefully planned in advance, worked closely together, and formulated reasonable construction plans, laying a solid foundation for the smooth start of the project.


During the construction of the project, in face of difficulties such as delayed arrival of external pipes and modification of grouting pipe system, the second production and operation department accurately formulated construction plans, rationally allocated resources and strengthened on-site construction control, overcoming the impact of material lag, equipment failure, bad weather,etc., and made continuous breakthroughs in key points such as sheet making and pile shoe making, so as to win the cycle for the later processes such as painting and middle assembly, ensuring that the project plan node is achieved as scheduled. The whole process fully reflects the efficient execution ability of the production and construction team, and has been highly recognized by the owner, supervisor and ship inspection party.


The early delivery of the project demonstrates excellent capability of CIMC SOE in the field of offshore wind power equipment construction. In the future, CIMC SOE will continue to adhere to the management philosophy of “continuous improvement and endless”, and provide customers with better products and services in the field of offshore wind power.
