CIMC SOE secured orders for 2+2 24000m³ ethane/ethylene carriers

Recently, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co.,LTD.(hereinafter referred  to as “CIMC SOE”) signed a contract order for 2+2 24000m³ ethane/ethylene carriers with Singapore Petredec Company.


The new 24000 cubic meters ethane/ethylene carriers will be completely designed by CIMC SOE, which is a comprehensive improvement over the 22000 cubic meters ethane/ethylene carriers on the market: the cabin capacity has been upgraded from the original 22000 cubic meters to 24000 cubic meters, and the fuel consumption has been significantly reduced under the premise of keeping design speed unchanged, which meets the current international environmental protection regulations for ships, and meets the EEDI Stage 3 and IMO TIER III emission requirements.

Previously, it has successfully delivered more than 40 liquefied gas vessels of various types, including the world’s largest newly built 20000 cubic meters LNG carrier, which was selected as the “2022 World Famous Ship”, have a leading global market share. As a leading enterprise in the global market for small and medium-sized liquefied gas vessels, CIMC SOE has won a series of orders for liquefied gas vessels and clean energy vessels this year, including 40000 cubic meters  MGC, and the overall order has exceeded 8 billion yuan.
