2020-12-18

On June 8, Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CIMC SOE") successfully delivered two first-made offshore wind power pipe piles at the Qidong production base.

It is reported that the two offshore wind power piles delivered this time will be used in the H6 project of Jiangsu Rudong offshore wind farm. This is also the first time CIMC SOE has entered the offshore wind power market. CIMC SOE is the world's leading enterprise in the design and manufacture of small and medium-sized gas carriers and C-type marine liquefied gas storage tanks. So far, it has delivered more than 30 various types of liquefied gas ships. The industrial chain covers LPG, LEG, and LNG gas transportation Ships and LNG transport bunkering ships. CIMC SOE has rich product design capabilities, advanced manufacturing capabilities, stable and mature technical workers and good hardware facilities. With the strong support of CIMC, CIMC Enric and all parties, the smooth delivery of the first offshore wind power pipe piles was ensured, and subsequent projects are also in production as planned.

In recent years, China's offshore wind power market has developed rapidly, especially in the past two years, showing explosive growth. At present, the production capacity of domestic wind power pipe pile and jacket manufacturers is in short supply. Based on the country's advocacy of clean energy power including offshore wind power and the progress of offshore wind power engineering technology, the development prospects of China's offshore wind power market are promising in the long term. At the beginning of this year, CIMC SOE signed a cooperation framework agreement with a well-known offshore wind power engineering company to carry out long-term and in-depth cooperation in the field of offshore wind power equipment construction such as wind power pipe piles.

Therefore, CIMC SOE invested supporting funds to carry out the technical transformation of the production workshop. It took 2 months to build 2 production lines and have a construction capacity of 100,000 tons per year, ensuring the high quality and high standard delivery of the project.

In the future, CIMC SOE will continue to leverage its advantages in lean manufacturing, cooperate extensively with companies in the industry for mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, and jointly expand the offshore wind power market, and contribute corporate value to mankind in making better use of wind energy.
